Responsive Web Development, Technical Strategy
Intergalactic was approached by our client to revamp the new Banff Centre website to reflect the diversity of content produced by this iconic Canadian cultural institution and its members. The Banff Centre website highlights our build, brand and design interpretation capabilities. Intergalactic was responsible for brand interpretation, page design and all programming. Collaborating with Pentagram Agency, the site spring boards from their organization’s design refresh style guide and makes it a usable integration of function. Some key mandates included the inclusion of multilingual French/Canadian content to satisfy Heritage Canada’s requirements based on best practice.
The site is complex containing curriculum, registration, artist collaboration and ticketing capabilities.
The resulting Drupal-powered site provides a visually dynamic experience and extensive meta tagging mechanisms allow content to be accessed and mashed up in a variety of ways.
The site rebrand was tied to a public launch where prominent guest attendees were able to view the site first hand.
