Intergalactic is looking for a driven Business Development Manager who loves technology and helping to find creative solutions for our customers. We create amazing award winning software and digital experiences with the ambition to be the best in the industry. This means pursuing and convincing top brands and agencies to partner with Intergalactic and experience our creative and technical excellence. You will need to be genuinely interested in technology and pushing the bounds of digital interaction. Good powers of persuasion are also an asset, but while we are the agency they're looking for, we never have to resort to any mind tricks - we're happy to let our record speak for itself.

You should have a minimum of two years of agency / solution sales experience and looking to be assimilated into an amazing team. This is a full-time position in our Yaletown office (heritage post and beam construction and a growing collection of sci-fi paraphernalia) with a focus on the North American market.

We have offices in Vancouver and London and specialize in cross-platform interactive including mobile, web, installations, UX and visualization. Our industry verticals are Events / Attractions, Retail and Real Estate. Our clients include Sundance Film Festival, HPE, Cisco, Kraft, South by Southwest, BC Liquor Stores, UBC, British Fashion Council, and... you get the idea. We're a fun, fast-moving, small company where you'll definitely see the results of the work you do.

What you will do:
• Win new business through client acquisition and account management
• Participate in management meetings to help determine client acquisition strategy
• Cold call and seek introductions to key people at companies which fit our target client profile
• Present and pitch Intergalactic for identified and new opportunities
• Respond to RFPs and RFQs
• Collaborate with the team and the client on identifying solutions and new experiences
• Maintain a record of interactions and prospective sales opportunities to create and maintain a sales pipeline
• Travel from time to time in support of client acquisition

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Two years of sales experience with proven results for both portfolio growth and project value
• Strongly proficient with English in spoken and written form
• Strongly proficient with presentation software
• Proficient with spreadsheet software
• A good sense of technology and its engagement capabilities
• Enjoy being part of a close-knit team

Nice to haves include:
• Proficient with Salesforce
• Existing Cascadia industry contacts
• Existing UK industry contacts

This is a full time permanent position working in our Vancouver head office. We’re a professional yet casual group who work hard in our Yaletown office where we are dog friendly, have beer Fridays, get out for team activities and have drinks and fresh produce brought in. From time to time we also get to visit some of the best creative events in the world such as SXSW and Cannes Lions or you can always take advantage of our Tour of Duty and work from our London office.
